Bangladesh kept the hope of the title alive by defeating India

The standard of play of the two teams was of the same order. However, India was ahead in terms of goals scored. But due to Kapal being good, Bangladesh’s victory against the neighboring team was a suicide goal.

Ruma Akhtar kept their U-17 women’s SAFC title hopes alive by defeating India 1-0 at the Kamalapur Stadium on Friday. As a result of the victory, Bangladesh’s points in three matches are 6. 3 points from India’s two games.

On the other hand, Russia beat Bhutan 9-1 in the first match thanks to a hat-trick by Anastasia Chernosova. Bhutan’s goal is a suicide. 6 points from two consecutive wins for the team from Europe.

Coach Ghulam Rabbani Chotan has made four changes to the XI against India in today’s game.

After the first half ended goalless, Bangladesh took the lead in the 74th minute with an own goal by India’s Akhila Rajan. The Indian defender sent the ball into his own net when Jyoti’s cross went to clear the head.

Bangladesh could have gone ahead in the first half. In the 6th minute, Pooja Das took the ball from the edge and crossed inside the Indian box. Sultana couldn’t put her feet on the ball.

In the 16th minute, Bangladesh defender Ruma could not clear the ball. India’s Pooja entered the box with the ball. He put the ball over Bangladesh goalkeeper Sangita’s head. But the header is good from Bangladesh, the ball goes just outside the post.

In the 40th minute, Surbhi could have scored a goal if he got the ball inside the box or had a good shot on his feet. But the ball goes over the post.

Bangladesh’s last match is against Nepal on 28th.
