The ‘Naam Shabana’ actress took to her Instagram page to share this bold look by designer Manisha Jaisingh at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week.
In the caption of the picture, Taapsee writes, ‘When will this red color leave me?’ A large section of the netizens got smitten after seeing the neckpiece with the sculpture of the Hindu goddess.
They wrote, ‘Maa Lakshmi is held by the neck in this kind of obscene film, a direct insult to Hinduism’. Another wrote, ‘No shame in insulting Hinduism’.
Rage Kai wrote another netizen, ‘wearing Maa Lakshmi’s neckpiece with this kind of obscene dress did not bind your conscience, they need to be punished’.
Taapsee Pannu is one of the most popular and busy actresses in Bollywood. The actress was modeling since studying engineering.
In a recent interview, the actress said that she was ‘not feminine looking’, saying that she was excluded from a saree advertisement by a famous photographer.
He said, ‘I can name him now. It was a catalog shoot by Satya Paul. They needed a model for their sarees. It wasn’t even a month since I made my portfolio. I have just entered the second year. So they think I am too small as a saree model. They wanted someone who looked feminine.’
The actress will next be seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Danky opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
